PFA Fun Run

On Wednesday 16th September, the PFA organised a Fun Run. We collected sponsors for some great prizes and then on the day, we had to run three laps around the school. It was hard work, but after we ran we got a delicious sausage sizzle and a fruit icy stick. We was great to cheer on our buddies and participate in this whole school event!

Book Week Dress Up day

On Friday 28th August, we celebrated Book week with a whole school Book Character dress up day. We were encouraged to dress up as a book character in a book. We were also encouraged to bring a gold coin donation so that we could buy more books for our library. Everyone made a wonderful effort to dress up and looks amazing! We read our books in class with each other and also our buddies.

Our 100 Day Celebration!

Guess what? We’ve been at school for 100 days! So we celebrated by having a big party! We brought to school 100 of something and we spent the day counting 100 of lots of different items and celebrating. Of course there was cake, 100 and 1000s fairy bread and delicious fruit kababs. We even had a visit and cards from our buddies!

This is a photo of us trying to make 100 with our bodies! Nearly there…

JSC Lean, Green, Keep it Clean Day

On Friday 24th July, our JSC organised a Lean, Green, Keep it Clean day, where as a school we were encouraged to wear green and bring a gold coin donation to help maintain and grow our Community Garden. We were also given plants donated by Bunnings which we planted in recyclable milk containers that we decorated with our buddies. We also tried our best to bring Nude Food, where we tried not to have any rubbish at school. The whole school is learning about sustainability and looking after our environment. Our Inquiry unit this term is called, I’m a Planeteer, we are learning how to look after the environment and why it is important.

Don’t our lunches look delicious?!

Swimming

Term 3 started off with a big splash and our Swimming Program! We had six sessions of swimming with our school friends. It was a lot of fun. We also got to travel to the pool on a bus and learn how to change and get ready for swimming independently. We have to wear our swimming caps when we go swimming, don’t we all look fabulous!?!

Unfortunately, we tried getting everyone, but it was very rushed to take the photos before the children had to go swimming so I do apologise for missing a few of our happy swimming faces. Also a super big thank you to the parents who helped out during the swimming program. We could not have done it without you!!!

Safety Dress Up Day

On the 24th June, we had our ‘I’m Okay’ Dress Up Day. We have been learning about safety in our Inquiry unit this term. We have had visits from lots of different people so we decided to end our unit with dressing up as someone in our community that keeps us safe. We had lots of fun playing on our classroom roads as well! It was a great day and celebration for the end of the unit!
